The 36-year-old New York rapper Joe Budden, who claims he is "retired from rap" has never
been one to do anything for attention or to please anybody but himself. UNTIL NOW. Ever since starting his podcast originally titled "I'll Name This Podcast Later", now "The Joe Budden Podcast", Joe has evolved into a force in hip-hop media. Countless conversations from this podcast have led to viral moments and responses from the biggest names in hip-hop such as Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Chance The Rapper. "The Joe Budden Podcast" is not just one of the most popular podcasts in hip-hop, it is now regarded as one of the most popular podcasts in the world, period.

Now Joe has joined Complex and stars in their new hit show "Everyday Struggle" alongside the YouTube star DJ Akademiks. They sit down every week day to debate some of the hottest topics in hip-hop and pop culture. The dynamic of the show is very unique and could even be called the ESPN First Take of hip-hop. Whether Joe is schooling the younger DJ Akademiks about his lack of intelligence on certain subjects or yelling at their guest Lil Yachty because he claims he is always "happy", the new show is a must watch. It is the younger hip-hop generation versus the older hip-hop generation every time DJ Akademiks and Joe Budden square off, making the show enjoyable for all hip-hop fans no matter what age. To get a better idea about the dynamic of "Everyday Struggle" check out the video clip below where the two debate Drake possibly throwing shade at Kendrick Lamar, and which of the two top tier rappers has the top spot in hip-hop.

Joe's unique combination of passion, humor, realness, and life experiences separates him from all the other voices in hip-hop media. If you are familiar with Joe Budden you know he is truly one-of-a-kind. Joe Budden the media figure is growing in popularity very fast and at this point might be more recognizable than Joe Budden the rapper. By this I mean the younger generation recognizes Joe Budden as a hip-hop media personality rather than a rapper. I'm also very sure that when he is approached in public or mentioned on social media these days people discuss his takes from his podcast or "Everyday Struggle" rather than his rap career. Joe Budden has never been one to look for attention or do something he doesn't enjoy so hopefully he is enjoying his position in the media and will not become overwhelmed when he is the #1 voice in hip-hop media. If this continues the fans can look forward to much more great content and memorable moments from the hip-hop media star Joe Budden.
